DESCRIPTION

Aqualoc – Below Grade is a two component system made up of a highly modified elastomeric asphalt emulsion and a chemical reactant. It is a cold, spray applied, instant set, rubber membrane that forms a strong bond to all clean prepared concrete substrates.

USAGE

Aqualoc – Below Grade can be used as a damp proofing, waterproofing membrane for concrete protection between slabs, basement walls, foundations, bridge decks and more, planter boxes, concrete tanks for primary and secondary containment.

ADVANTAGES
  • The finished product demonstrates
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Fully bonds to all concrete substrates superior flexibility and bond
  • Resistant to aging and ultraviolet
  • Minimal surface preparation
  • High puncture and crack resistance exposure
  • Significant cost savings
  • Freedom of architectural design
  • Can withstand thermal cycling
  • Reduces labour costs
LIMITATIONS

Aqualoc – Below Grade should not be applied when ambient temperature is below 40°F (4.4°C). Uncured product is subject to damage if frozen.

Do not apply to wet or frosted surfaces. Do not apply in the rain or if rain is imminent. Make sure surface is dry and clean of dirt, oil, form greases or any loose or foreign debris. Do not store in direct sunlight. Shelf life is 1 year in tightly sealed containers. If storing for long period mechanical mixing once a month is required. Do not freeze.

APPLICATION

Aqualoc – Below Grade is a dual component system that is applied using a specifically designed delivery system at ambient air temperatures creating a seamless membrane. Both components are waterborne, significantly reducing health risks. Application is typically 0.7 m2/litre (30 ft.2/gal) when applied at a 40 mil thickness. The product will fully cure in 48 hrs at 70°F (21°C) when applied at 40-mil thickness, 50% relative humidity. Water droplet formation on the film during curing is a normal part of the curing process and can occur for up to 48 hrs after application. Curing time is affected by relative humidity and temperature. Mechanically mix well “slowly”. Product turns from brown (wet) to black (dry).

CAUTION

When applying, wear gloves, eye protection and other suitable personal protective equipment. Consult the MSDS for further information.
